Yupppppp.... It's been three weeks and everyone is still talking about it!!! The Unsigned Explosion Tour was back at it AGAIN on the road hitting Boston & Connecticut : June 29th & 30th with talented 9 unsigned artist: Dox, Komplex, Worldarama, Raymond PSG, Young Dom, LQ The King, Young Boogs, Jimmie Bones, Sapphire Monet and Coast to Coast DJ: DJ N.O.; all from New York. Two that stuck out to me off bat- Young Dom (of TMO) because he brought his crew with him, camera man included and the ONLY FEMALE - Sapphire Monet on the tour who sings "Funk Rock", staff and a few artist brought a family &/or team member(s). This time around things went much smoother and the atmosphere was built on support and showing love to each other; as if we all knew each other before going on tour (though a few of us knew one another from prior events, home town or the last tour.) During boarding of the tour bus we all greeted one another, talked and took pictures.

Tour life here we come ... 22 of us boarded the tour bus in Brooklyn Saturday morning for our first stop; which was the Comfort Inn in Connecticut. My seat was at the front of the bus but truth be told most of the action / excitement was at the back of the bus. All the artist were excited and talking amongst one another: about the last tour, venues they would be performing at this tour, who they know and "music" (the one thing we all have in common). Within the first half an hour Cal took out his camera: getting drops from all the artist on the tour bus and taping them as they did open freestyles. LQ The King set it off something serious! Bars for days!! Literally. The tension began to silently build as Cal went from artist to artist giving them the spotlight individually.

Before we got to the hotel we made a lunch/ dinner stop to the "Golden Corral" once we got into Boston. As we got off the bus I noticed some people going to "Boston Market" instead ...I chose to go follow the majority. Boyyyy was I in "Fat Girl Heaven" lol. They had so many choices and the deserts were amazing. They even had a chocolate fountain that you could dip marshmallows, strawberries, cookies & whatever else you wanted, let's not forget the blue cotton candy to top it off. I sampled a few things but was more interested in what everyone else was doing and how the night would turn out. I ended up sitting with the bus driver, Shabar. I got acquainted with him and quickly learned that he was a joker "don't invade his space" * tour inny* . We ate, took pictures and was back on the tour bus heading to the hotel, to get ready for the show in a few hours.

Once we made it to the hotel, I got my room and the fun began: Music blasting, bottles popping from a few rooms, and some hunted for "extra activities" ..... Within 15 minutes of us being there I could hear a few of the artist in the hotel hallway talking, laughing, trying to find out what rooms staff was in & getting themselves ready for the show. Cal knocked on our door informing us we had to be ready to leave the hotel by 9pm. That gave us roughly 35 minutes to get ready. As I got out the shower I could hear LQ - my room mate, reciting his lyrics over a instrumental beat he had playing off his phone and doing push ups. This got me ampted...when artist are about to perform they get into

"their own zone". As I began to unwine Sapphire Monet stopped by my room, being she was the only female artist on the tour with us I took this as an opportunity to get to know her a little more one on one. I found it odd when she told me she sings "Funk Rock" .I had no idea what that exactly sound like, so you know I had to inquire more.
After she left to get ready for the show, next thing I know I hear Worldarama's voice coming from the hotel hallway. I peeked out my room door and there he was, Worldarama, chopping it up with a few people with his camera in one hand and a cup in his hand. I couldn't help but smile to myself because when he's around THE CAMERA IS ALWAYS ROLLING & nothing is off limits. If you know Worldarama you know it's a "Shake Fest" ready to happen at any given time. Lol.

As I waited for us to leave and head to the show at " Max Blue's Cafe" Jimmie Bones & Stef Ta Def (Worldarama's nephew & artist) some how ended up in our room chopping it up with LQ... As I fixed my makeup and did my hair in the bathroom I couldn't help but to listen in on LQ, Jimmie Bones and Stef Ta Def 's conversation. I tried to pay very close attention to everything Jimmie Bones had to say. It's just something about an intelligent young black man that knows the business. As they continued their conversation about us running late to the show, rappers in the music game, producers , who's in what camp/ group... All of a sudden the conversation switched to "artist who use other artist's lyrics and portray them as their own". Ohhhhh did it get heated and a bigger discussion emerged. Wish I could share the dirt *sighs*. Within a few minutes we all headed towards the lobby to see what was taking so long for us to leave: as we waited for everyone to come outside to the tour bus, pictures were taken and mini drops were done.

It didn't take us long to get to the venue. Before we pulled up to the spot " Max Blue's Cafe" all artist were warned that we were pressed for time on stage. As we arrived at the venue there was a nice amount of people standing in the front of the entrance. It was SHOW TIME! We all got off one by one, Raymond's manager and Young Dom's camera dude were filming immediately; the greeting we received as we all entered the venue was nothing but love. Being we were running late, the show had already started by the time we got there. The host from Boston, Seventhree EZ, was on stage greeting the next group to the stage, I spotted Black Lotto walking backstage to talk to Seventhree EZ and Pretty Poission (the host and connect of Boston), I was right on his heels. I didn't care how rushed we were. I was getting shine on that stage... & I DID GET MY 30 SECONDS OF SHINE...well it was more like 3 minutes lol! Three white dudes with green button up- long sleeve collar shirts on walked on stage. I don't know what they were "trying" to showcase, but rapping definitely wasn't their talent (no disrespect). Not only was the sound system messing up but this group wasn't cutting it. If this was a competition this group would of need disqualified within the first 20 seconds. I checked out the spot, walking from side to side; leaving a few of my promo fliers on a few of the tables and networked with the Boston crowd. As I waited for the white group to end, a young lady my the name Socially CeCe walked up to me. She was very interested in what I was there doing / my position on the tour etc.; being she worked in the same entertainment field. Before the night was over luck had it were I got to do a mini interview with Socially CeCe on the balcony of the club.
It was #LacedUp!

Black Lotto got on stage, taking over the show from Seventhree EZ. He introduced himself, got the crowd's attention by hyping everyone up with music from DJ N.O., and a little information on what we were all there for (the Unsigned Explosion Tour). Next thing I know DJ N.O. started his set. Though he didn't have too much time to spin (Pretty Poisson kept on rushing everyone on stage - telling us to keep the show rolling), he kicked it off with a few Boston hits (to hype up the crowd and show Boston respect) but I don't think the audience was up on the tracks he was playing; by the look on their faces - but us New Yorkers knew the tracks. The first to open up from New York was Team Inkredible's own Dox. Warming the crowd up, giving them a sample of what New York is made of. Can't remember the order of which each artist went after him : Sapphire Monet took to the stage wearing a bangging ass multi-color cat suit. No lie she had all heads turning in her direction trying to get a glimpse of her beauty as she made her way to the stage. THE MOMENT I WAS WAITING FOR since we got to the venue, to hear this "Funk Rock" (her sound). It was different... She sang a love song that captivated me, leaving me yearning to hear more. As she got into her next track ,all I remember was her stopping in the middle of her song and saying " I'M FROM BROOKLYN, SO YOU GONNA RESPECT ME. I NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION..." * clap clap clap clap clap * lmao. She had everyone's attention at this point because her demeanor was so demanding you had no other choice but to respect her *clap clap clap clap clap*. If you from New York, you know how Brooklyn people act when they feel disrespected. For the rest of the tour the joke line was " I'm from Brooklyn, you gonna respect me. In Sapphire's voice". Whenever someone else wasn't respecting them or trying to jokingly play one another Lol. Boooyyyyy when Young Boogs hit the stage aka Mr. Hit The Bar THINGS GOT LIT!! I was so turnt up in the moment I invited myself on stage when Boogs did his set for "Hit The Bar". His energy was insane, he had the audience swaying side to side with him as he recited the chorus. He even had me doing the two step with him - I became his "hype girl" automatically. It must of been that shot I had before we left the hotel, cause I would have never have done that otherwise. I got to watch Komplex do his performance from the balcony view - it was dope, he performed just as I finished my mini interview with Socially CeCe; his stage presence was so official! Collar shirt, bow tie included. Watching the audience sway with him from one side of the stage to the other was a great visual. Wish he could of seen it for himself.

When Young Dom and his crew TMO rocked the stage I was shocked. On the bus he was so comical, trying to hustle anything under the sun; so when I saw his "youngin' self" * inny * rapping about money, cars, hustling and girls... " They talking money and I want in/ they pushing Beemas , they pushing Benz/ we bag these b*tches and f*ck their friends/ we paid in full hustling like this the end. " this baby face young artist had my mouth wide open as he performed "They Talkin". Him and his crew definitely made an impression, not only to me but to everyone that was on tour with us Energy crazy !!!

Time was whining down...Here comes Pretty Poisson rushing us AGAIN SMH; telling Seventhree EZ and Black Lotto to hurry up with the program. All of a sudden the stage got packed. Pretty Poisson's artist hit the stage turning that iish upside down. My dude had strippers on the stage with him twerking! The spot got crunk!!
Her artist set the stage for Worldarama and Stef Ta Def who CLOSED THE SHOW SOMETHING SERIOUS with their hit single "Shake Fest". The stage was packed to the max. The strippers hand the audience chanting "it's a shake fest, shake fest shake fest" as they shaked their "tail feathers" within about a minute or two into the song the music completely STOPS. We all looked over at DJ N.O. to see what happened. I thought the poor music system broke, but the spot cut the music completely due them closing at 1am. WTF right !!???!!! It was #LacedUp though, even when they stopped the music Stef kept on reciting his lyrics and the crowd was still dancing. Unfortunately three artist: LQ The King, Raymond and Jimmie Bones didn't get to showcase their talent due to the venue shouting down so abrupt. YES TENSION filled the air...you could cut it with a knife. I felt so bad, because I knew they we prepared to do damage to the stage like the other artist from N.Y. who got to perform. In between performances they alternated between Boston artist and New York artist, let's not forget the fucked up sound system squeaking and blowing the base every other minute. There were two Boston artists who turnt the stage UP THO. Wish I remembered their names.

When we got outside there was a party bus waiting for us courtesy of Seventhree EZ and Pretty Poisson, the same strippers that were in the spot performing on stage with the Boston artist and Worldarama set were on the bus as well with a few Boston people. I was good. They didn't have nothing on a bad ass stripper from N.Y. if you ask me. Truth be told everyone on the tour bus went back to the hotel instead of joining the Boston people on the party bus.

Now some would say this is when the REAL PARTY STARTED! You know the saying "the freaks come out at night". Things got a little interesting if you ask me. You had people room hopping, taking pictures, playing music, playing games, drinking, hunting for food, trying to hook up and "extra activities".... Don't forget Worldarama and Dom TMO's camera dude filming having a good time. About an hour of us being back at the hotel we were informed the party bus was outside and whoever wanted to go could. I opted to stay at the hotel - they had no real destination but a few people eventuality joined them. I heard Worldarama and Raymod made their own "Shake Fest" on that party bus cause he was DONE for the next few hours... LITERALLY hhmmmm .... ;I kicked it with DJ Wes Will and his homeboy for a little before retiring to my room. I didn't know where LQ dipped off to but I found myself in my room with Sapphire Monet and Young Boogs. They did most of the talking amongst themselves as I sat on LQ's bed taking in the entire day and enjoying the moment... I was on tour. This has been something I wanted to do for a long time (though its my 2nd tour with Team Inkredible), this time around it was different for me...loved how everything was coming together.

8am the alarm was ringing in my ear. I most of been on 2 hours of sleep maximum. 2nd day on the road and I was energized like I had a full 8 hours of sleep. We ate breakfast, I took a dip in the hotel pool, showered, got dressed and waited in the hotel lounge for everyone else to check out. I pulled my camera out and started filming a few of the artist one by one. I used this opportunity to get to know them a little bit more, I also felt that this gave each artist a better insight on each other - being I was conducting the interview as they watched and listened. We checked out and headed to our next destination, Connecticut: Club Symmetry.

Symmetry was jumping as we pulled up. People lined up outside, going in and out, talking in groups and smoking. They had a battle event going on inside, we waited a few hours before our showcase started; mingling with fellow artist, checking out our new surroundings and filming. I walked inside - it felt like a "Smack DVD" battle. Two artist on stage going back to back with diss lines as the crowd reacted to the one with the hottest bars by cheering or clapping and snickering at the opponent being dissed.

Few hours passed, once again it was SHOW TIME: ROUND 2!! Jimmie Bones opened up this time, his white boy swag bringing the heat including his smash single "Bad Bitches & Good Weed". I swear he's Big Sean's twin ... voice and all. I'm sure you all remember him from the last tour; his creativity and intellect as an young man is beyond his time. Raymond did his thing with his ladies track "Toast (L'chaim)".

LQ couldn't wait to touch the stage (his adrenaline was pumped from not being able to perform the night previously. So you know he showed his ass on that stage), when he did all eyes were on him. He gave an "Inkredible" freestyle that touched on the rap game, the struggle, life lessons and what he wants in life. Young Dom held the key to the night/ event. He held the gateway that we needed for Connecticut artist and New York Artist to unite for the night and start a life time music friendship. There was a group of artist that all had light green bandanas, one of them even had a shirt on that read " We don't got love for New York". Yikes right.... A few of us felt uncomfortable and little chats were circulating about it, all of that negative energy went out the window once Young Dom invited them onto the stage as he did his set for "Let Me" OH BOOYYYYYY!! THE STAGE WAS ON FIRE!!! Young Dom had that music group partying on stage with him as if he knew them for years; the crowd went crazy, chanting and jumping out their seats. Dox ripped the stage with "Wildin'"!! I was astonished at his performance. He took the crowd by storm as he recited "Before I leave the crib I kiss my baby girl, trynna get this money in this crazy world, they WILDIN for respect...." He diminished the stage - well in this case floor. The crowd was hype!!! Cheering and clapping before his song was even finished.

After the show ended, I waited inside with Craig (Nght Wolf) talking to him about the weekend and a few of the performances. D.J. N.O. comes over and asks:

"We going to another hotel after this or we going home?".

I responded: "Why, you have to be at work early in the morning?"

D.J. N.O.: "Nah,this is my job. I just want to sleep in my bed."

I smiled. His simple response motived the hell out of me. Who wouldn't want to travel, party, meet new people for a living and get paid for it at the same time? To work for a check is one thing, but to do what you love to do and get that check afterwards is even better! I can't wait to be at that stage where Dj N.O. is. N.O. I respect your grind and hard work. I met you when no one knew my name. You befriended me in this music game without question and have been supporting me ever since. There's a bright future waiting for you. Keep grinding N.O. I salute you. See you at the top.

There were five phenomenal artist that left an imprint on me while on tour with them:
(no particular order) Young Dom, LQ the King, Jimmie Bones & Sapphire Monet, and Komplex. Young Dom has the entire package. Talent, looks, drive, character... Don't let the baby face fool you. LQ the King has that fire, his tongue is a lyrical weapon itself! Jimmie Bones has the business smarts of a leader. His music abilities has the capabilities to not only make it mainstream but cross over into that pop market. Sapphire Monet brings that funk that the music industry is missing. The "Unsigned Explosion Tour" has RETURNED!! This passed weekend (May 17th & 18th) I had the pleasure of networking and traveling with 9 talented artist from New York:

DOX, KOMPLEX, BUTTA BILLIONS, PRIMEVIL, WORLDARAMA, G STRONG, TNG CHARTA, JIMMIE BONES. We packed up our bags and hit the road in a tour bus to showcase their skills as unsigned artist, in New Jersey and Philly. There are so many fun memories, jokes, enlightening conversations between strangers, cyphers/ freestyles (both) artist and staff, minor disagreements and a knock out punch between an artist and his friend that had the entire tour bus baffled.

The first stop was a lounge in New Jersey by the name of "Feels Good", hosted by Black Lotto. As we pulled up you could feel the tension and excitement in the air. The artists were all hype and ready to put on a show like they never did before, and thats just what each of them did. Dox warmed up the crowd with his hit single "Out Your League", getting everyone hype and fist pumping to his track. Butta Billions took to the stage with his (sexy voice ladies lol) street and hard core lyrics that demanded your attention once he started spitting. G-Strong stepped into the ring (aka stage) ready for war! War is what he gave us/ the audience with his single "Tap Out". TNG Charta grabbed everyone's attention before his first tracked even dropped. All you seen was this slim, skinny boy weaving through the crowd in the front and his voice on the microphone "I'm about to perform, you said to come get you when I'm about to perform"; and all you see is a white guy (turned out he was the owner of the spot) following closely behind him. He opened his set with an "InKredible" freestyle "Going Dum Dumb", leaving the crowd wanting more! Jimmie Bones got everyone crunk with his smash single "Bad B*tches & Good Weed", if you ask me this was definitely the anthem of the night. After all, the club was filled with mostly males and a few "Bad B*tches". He has a radio hit, if you ask me. Rapping "Shorty you the best, shorty you the best/ it's a shake fest/shake fest/ shake fest" trynna twerk my butt at the same time lol. Can't get this track by Worldarama out my head. His set with his nephew "Sef To Def" was "TURNT UP" to the max and had the stage shaking. Their energy was impeccable! They even had one of their female supporters "Raiin" come on stage and "twerk it" as they got their "Shake Fest" on turning the crowd up. This single is for sure a club banger!!! DJs put it in rotation, your crowd will "TURN UP" in Raiin's voice (one of World's supporters). Primevil brought the hood out with his single "Pass Me My Drink, Pass Me My cup".

As we wrapped up the show to head to the hotel... a dispute breaks out between Black Lotto and another person off the tour bus. I'm unsure of what that dispute started from (I think from the lounge manager's and someone off our tour bus cells was misplaced) all I know is that I was standing in front of the lounge trying to hear Lotto's story of what was going on and all of a sudden you hear Worldarama arguing with his friend (that came on the tour bus with us too). As I crossed the street to see what was going on all I seen was Worldarama punch the sh*t out of his friend! POW! IT WAS CRAZY! Everyone stood there for a few seconds, in shock. Then this dude pulls out his phone and starts calling someone... while myself and a few other people held back Worldarama. Like REALLY MY DUDE? How you get punched in the face - in front of a crowd- and not try to hit the person back or defend yourself?? SMH! Long story short Worldarama kicked the dude off the tour bus and told him to find his own way back home. Good thing homey "drunk" girlfriend was there (whom met him at the lounge) or he would of been assed out on getting back to New York.

Unfortunately the rooms that were reserved for us in Philly was given to other parties at the hotel we were suppose to stay at due to some convention... we traveled for about two hours trying to find a hotel that could room all of us. We lucked up on "Quality Inn" but they only had six rooms, mind you there was at least 22 people on the tour bus with us (three females- including myself and the rest males). YIKES, I know right smh. The management of the tour tried to make the best out of what was offered to them via the hotel. They tried to first put me in a room with the other two females, at first I was cool with hit; until I got to the room and noticed that it was a queen bed with no extra blankets or cot. I refused to sleep on the bed with two other females. Don't get me wrong there was nothing wrong with the females but I wanted to relax freely.AAHHHHH!!! It's almost six in the morning mind you...I'm tired and od cranky. Ya'll know I went back downstairs and complained to the tour management. Acting like a "diva" for about twenty minutes, I got my way though. They were so mad at me for showing out too. I love you guys- but ya'll knew NewShoes wasn't going to room with males.

Few hours later, after a free buffet breakfast - which I missed cause I slept in, we checked out and Philly was our next destination. The energy and adrenaline was still in the air as the artists made there way towards the tour bus; I began taking pictures of them along with a few mini interviews with the help of Worldarama. We touched Philly early afternoon, with time to spare before the Philly show; so we painted the downtown mall with our presents and Team Inkredible business cards. The goal was to get as many people aware of the Team Inkredible Tour and to come out to the show that night to support the artists. As I walked the mall halls exploring I could see the tour artists passing out their business cards/fliers, trying to pick up females and most importantly networking.

We pulled up to the 2nd spot "Club 1800" early evening... as we waited for the club to open up the artists started trickling out of the tour bus for some fresh air, smoke break and/ or store run. Next thing I hear is someone knocking on the side of the bus - in a steady beat and Dox starts spitting / freestyling over it. I got off the bus as a small circle is formed around him, we all begin to bop our heads and smile as he's going in with his flow. Then a few other artist starts jumping into the cypher. I was amazed when Komplex said "I want to eat." which meant he wanted to spit. His lyrical demeanor had me taken back. We even had some R&B in the mix by a young man by the name of Jose who accompanied another artist on the tour and he performed in his set. His voice boooyyyyyy.... It had that southern ring to it. He can sannnnggg.

Finally what I was waiting for PHILLY'S SHOWCASE hosted by Cal (and I was suppose to host with him smh....don't ask. I was just playing my position and grateful to be there all the same)...myself, the rest of the Team Inkredible Tour staff and artist all anticipated this night. I knew for sure there would of been a better turn out then the night prior. Unfortunately it wasn't. A few Philly artist came and rocked out on the stage in between the New York artists sets, but I don't feel they showed the New York artists support as much as the New York artists showed them; on and off stage. Somehow E Ness from Diddy's "Making The Band" got word of the showcase and came through; showed love to all the artist and spectators. I feel so bad that the rest of Philly and you guys didn't get to witness these creative and talented artists as they did their thing on stage. Don't worry- footage is coming!!

Ohhh the journey coming back to New York was "OUT OF CONTROL" in Craig Herring's voice. The tour bus stopped not even 20 minutes into us traveling back ... actually we were attempting to get something to eat before we hit the highway...as we stopped at a red light, I could feel the bus shout off..."YOOOO I KNOW THE BUS DID NOT STOP!" I blurted out. At first no one responded to me- not sure if they were ignoring me due to a few people talking amongst each other or sleeping... then I had to repeat myself making a joke of it. Next thing I know most of the front of the bus started singing and freestyling to the fact that the bus stopped and we were stuck in the middle of a major street. Jokes started circulating and oddly the topic about religion and God came up...smh ...ya'll know that's a touchy topic to talk about and discuss. The singer, Jose, even taped in and gave his insight on how he felt recording the discussion at the same time.... I sat back listening, taking in what they were saying and prayed that the bus would start back up. We must of sat there for a good 15-20 minutes before some passengers on the tour bus started inquiring how much it would be to take a taxi from where we were in Philly to Brooklyn, NY. Then Debo, two of the artists manager, got off the bus and started talking to a homeless man on the side of the street with a sign that read something about " he's a veteran and God Bless us all". Debo got the homeless man to show and walk with him and a few other people off the tour bus the closest open deli, which was a good ten minute walk away. After almost waiting three hours for the couch bus' road assistance to come assist, he gets it started and a few minutes later the bus brakes down again ON THE HIGHWAY this time with a FLAT AT THAT. Felt like I was on an amusement park ride when the tire popped. The driver drove to the 2nd nearest gas station, fixed the flat and we attempted the 3rd time and yeah ... it shout off again "OUT OF CONTROL" right lol. Finally the driver got it to start up and get us back to New York safely just as the sun was trying to peek out.

Over all this was a great experience for myself. Giving me the glimpse into what is to come in the future, I got the chance to network and meet new people and most of all I found out that it takes a lot of work and dedication to put an entire tour together. I want to thank the entire Team Inkredible : Craig Herring, Black Lotto, Cal, Dj Shuttle, Worldarama and 5Star Management; all artist and supporters for making this weekend memorable for myself and sharing this experience with me. Nice stop on the Unsigned Explosion Tour is Connecticut and Boston June 28th and 29th. She got out the car and walked over to my side and opened the door. I stayed seated as she leaned in and bent down. Damn the way she began playing with my balls had my toes curling. She licked her middle finger and outlined it, then lifted up my dick, licking it all over; slobbing and sucking my balls one at a time.

Reign seductively asked looking up into my eyes, searching for the answer in my facial expressions as I looked down back at her. Before I could answer she deep throated my shit so good, her head bobbing up and down between my legs; she had my toes curled in my boots. No lie. Next thing I knew she pulled out her titties and put my dick in between them. She squeezed her titties together, letting my dick glide up and down. Every time she would glide it up she would suck the tip at the same time giving me the illest sensation. Fuck waiting to get back to my crib, I needed to tear her ass up on the spot.
Reign took my 9 1/2 inches down her throat like a porn professional, gagging on it, spitting on it and deep throated that bitch again making her gag and causing her to spit out on my dick each time. She liked that shit. I pulled away from her and motioned her to go in the back seat. As she climbed in on her hands and knees, with her exposed ass in the air; I dove my head in her ass crack licking the entire crease circling her hole with my tongue, sticking it in as far as it could go.

Shit got so intense "ass up face down " literally. Felt myself about to bust and that was a no no, pulled out slowly and sat down; pulling her on top of me at the same time. She jumped on my dick riding that shit so fast you would of thought she was riding a race horse, sprinting towards the finish line. Grabbed her hips with both hands, grinding my dick inside of her in a circular motion each time she bounced up and down on it. I had her right where I wanted her. She began screaming from both pleasure and pain as my dick touch her g-spot. Yanking her hair and wrapping it around my right hand causing her to lean back, increasing our sensation.

can the world be ours when children are growing up without parents, letting
the streets train their actions; adopting to the transformation of mankind?
Little girls mimic videos and television thinking that provocative attire, high

captive to the walls of society never to see freedom again because of their
absent fathers leaving them to fend and provide for the rest of their families,

criticize me for my beliefs and then pick at my character? Am I not the one
that was left like an orphan on the steps of a church? Did you not see my tears
drop on hurt and betrayal as my screams fell on deaf ears? How can you measure

I just wrapped up my interview with one of the hottest producers out right now! JOE LINDSAY! Not sure who i'm talking about? you heard his production before ... his latest work "Everyday Coolin' " that Swizz Beatz is on that has the club JUMP-PING!!
Where are you from?
JOE LINDSAY:I'm an up and coming music producer,25 yrs of age, from Long Island ,NY. I've lived everywhere from Freeport, to Farmingdale, to Nigeria, but I rep LI.

LONG ISLAND BILLBOARD:How did you get involved with music? What draw you to hip hop?
JOE LINDSAY:If U ask my parents, I was destined to do music from birth. Ever Since I could remember, music was in me. As a kid, Beating on pots and pans, beatboxing, banging on pianos, singing, etc was a normality for me. Specifically, when I saw Rodney Jerkins( producer "darkchild") as a teen producing for Michael Jackson and Brandy, that's when I decided to get into making beats.

LONG ISLAND BILLBOARD:Your an upcoming music producer, that has not only produced for up & coming indie artist but main stream artist such as Tone Trump, Rick Ross & (recently produced for one of the hottest producers in the game right now) Swiss Beatz " Everyday Coolin" ft Eve. A lot of people thought that Swiss Beatz himself produced this beat. How does it feel when people compare your sound to Swiss Beatz? How would you describe your style as a producer?
JOE LINDSAY:Its expected for people to think Swizz made the beat because it sounds like something he would make. That's why he picked it. But yea, I made the beat and Swizz made it a Hit. S/O to Swizzy for this major opportunity. My sound goes far beyond that record tho. I actually made that beat in 15 mins. God has blessed me to have the capability to make music of many genres and styles. So when u hear my music u get a taste of everything.

LONG ISLAND BILLBOARD:
Your latest production "Everyday Coolin" has clubs jumping every time the dj puts it on & people bumping their heads/ moving their bodies when this tracks comes blasting through their speakers. Did you think when you were creating this beat that someone of Swiss Beatz status would buy it & be on it? The ratings on this track are through the roof! It has been getting spins on two of the hottest main stream radio shows in N.Y. :Power 105, Hot 97,,video play on 106andpark.com & even over seas. Did you ever think that this track would get the positive feed back that it has?

JOE LINDSAY:I personally didn't like the track before Swizz put his vocals on it. All my homies thought I was crazy. But I originally made it for Nicki Minaj but she wasn't feeling it. Then I sent it to Swizz's people and about 2 weeks later they put it out. Immediately, I had people callin my fone tellin me they heard Swizz on one of my tracks. I actually was told kids in middle schools and high schools were bumpin it after the first day. I def didn't expect it to get this big. S/O to all the radio stations and internet sites who are supporting the record.

LONG ISLAND BILLBOARD:
Who are some people you would like to work with in the future? What are some things we can expect from you in the near future?

JOE LINDSAY:I just wanna make good, clean music with great artists. Unfortunately, there are a lot of great artists that people don't know about. I love making classic records with unknown artists and giving them their big break. I'm currently working on projects with Nachbi, a very talented singer/musician and also Sam B, an amazing singer/songwriter. Both of them are affiliated with Plan A Music Group. Other dope artists u should look out for are Mike Flowers, Antonia Simons, and Timothy Jean. Those artists are forces to be reckoned with. They are truly blessed by God. Besides that, Just look out for good clean music from ya boy Joe Lindsay.

LONG ISLAND BILLBOARD:What do you strive to achieve every time you create a beat?

JOE LINDSAY:I always try to make music people can FEEL. A lot of music today sounds good but u can't FEEL it. So that's def one of my goals. I also try to be versatile with my music. People play music for all different occasions. I want my music to be able to be played anytime and anywhere.

** Advice to up & coming producers such as yourself** To all up and coming producers/artists, I would advise you to stay work extra hard and smart, maintain good relationships with people, and always keep God first and n e thing is possible.

Follow me on twitter @juscawlmejoe, facebook is Joseph Lindsay, and come to Realtyme studios in Freeport, LI for great music.
Shout outs:
Shout to Jesus Christ for being first in my life. Raised by single mothers, whom themselves are their own prisoners of society, are the four walls that surround them.

Wondering: “how did your mother let you leave the house in that manner?” With rags on barely covering up your scars, hairs matted together, body odor smelling through caked up perfumes.

We approach: we smell the foul urine odor from the stairwells, see the guts of cigars spread on the floor, the empty clear bags of cocaine with smear of white residue left in them. The unclean apartment with roaches and mice looking at you as if you don’t belong there.

Lost children roaming the wild streets at night ,questioning themselves…. “did I really have a f*cked up life?”

Show me your morals and values! where is your mother at?

My mother is a street walker, a gold digger, a high price hoe. She get’s dressed and goes out with the high rollers all times of the night. Sometimes barely making it back in before the sun starts to peek in on the night and tell it to go hide until it kisses it on the forehead.

My mother searches for her NEXT “get high” every two hours or so…..she wears anything from spandex to nothing underneath her “party clothes”. Her friend… Uncle Ted, we’re told to call him, prefers it that way. You can tell by the smirk on his face and the bulge in his pants when he sees her cat walking around.

Lost children roaming the glistening air, waiting for the pleasures of tomorrow to arrive. Driving in the passengers seat questioning principals, morals, and reflections all kicked out the door and replaced by a false happiness embedded to the soul.written by -@MsNewShoes
I see you just dropped your new mixtape Ill Thoughts- Presents "zzZZzz" on DatPiff ...tell us about that. Who's featured on it, why did you give it the title "zzZZzz"?

I.T. Well, "zzZZzz" is my first project. I got the idea from attempting to share my music and not much people reacted to it. S from being slept on I wanted to produce something I felt would attract their attention. Waking them up in a sense. It only contains one feature I came across in San Diego. Lyrik and his stone age camp. I just showed him the beat and in about two hrs hit me back up and said he's ready to hit the booth. We did and the single just came out like magic. "zzZZzz" is most definitely a mixtape for lyrical appreciation. Its sole intent was to amaze creativity of rhymes.

NS: What does "Ill Thoughts"stand for ? (and I thought you went by "Illy Thoughts") ? Who is Ill Thoughts and what state/area do you rep?

I.T.: Ill Thoughts I believe was the name I was looking for all along. I went through alot monikers before sticking with this. It basically defines my character, I think alot. A deep thinker, what I think is what I write and people consider it ill. So my thoughts are ill. And Illy was actually a name that I got from you when I was participating in some cyphers earlier this year. And other radio stations and people around said it too so it just caught on. I guess it's become a nickname haha. Ill Thoughts is a just a poet that is seeking God meanwhile trying to build a beautifulk legacy for my family. I hail from and represent San Diego, CA. The soul cal city of sun.

N.S.: I read that you feel "hip-hop is missing"...please go in dept more. Why do you feel this way? Can it be changed?

I.T.: I feel recently there hasn't been much lyricism, the stressing of something beyond typical. Along with that it doesn't seem like cats are sticking to what hip hop was made from. Instead we starting to find trend rappers, dance rappers, swagg rappers, but not many emcees in purity that are concious of complex rhymes and the art of storytelling. But now, the tides are turning and emcees are teaming up to change it. My peace goes to Kendrick, J Cole, Big Sean, Jay Electronica etc. I plan to be apart of this revolution of bringing rhyming back to its essence.

N.S.: Is there a track on your Mixtape that you would consider "your baby"? The track you are most proud of every time you hear it...and why?

I.T.: For me, I enjoy the mixtape as a whole. I don't think I have favorite, but if I had to choose I'd say, "Thinkin Remix.." The original song found on my youtube channel was just a personal song that consisted of random thoughts from two random pages in my notebook. On the remix I wanted 70 bars and rhyme all the way through just to express my heart and what I'm about. Its arguably the most personal track on the tape.

N.S.: " every song and rhyme I construct is a dedication and appreciation to God for the gift of music....music is my heart and my love. The same as god and his son." That's a deep statement to make. I can relate but for the few who can't please elaborate...so that we can get a better understanding of what you mean.

I.T.: Every rhyme, and piece of work I do for the honor of God. As a way to respects for giving me the gift. Its me giving back all that I can the best way I can. I consider rhyming as an expression of my love and appreciation of God for who He is and what He's done for me.

N.S.: You grow up listening to the 90's music...who are some of your inspirations and do you feel this has contributed to your development as an artist?

I.T.: Most definitely, Nas. Illmatic was the first hip hop album I remember bumping as a young kid. Jay-Z, Cannibus, Big Pun, Pac, Ice Cube, Biggie, Raekwon, Scarface, Method Man, Gza, Mos Def, Common, Andre 3000, Eminem. Most of all Rakim.

N.S.: Thanks for the interview. Plus, check out the EP Cold Summer, soon to drop at the end of the summer. Stay tuned and keep in touch with the music. This article states that the Ku Klux Klan salutes & congratulates all Gang Bangers that have help kill/slaughter any African American. They praise all & anyone killing the African American race ....they feel that African American Gang Bangers are helping them get rid of the African American race by killing their own....Smh ....its such a shame that "we" the African American race is killing one another over bullshit while the KKK wants & glorifies it because "we" are Helping them reach their goal ....which is to get rid of our own race. When will we wake up & see that this has to stop ??? ....We are killing our own generation ....the youth need better role models!! We need to get them out these streets & lead them to the right track before its too late. TEAM ARSON MUSIC GROUP ALSO KNOWN AS T.A. GANG OR T.A.G. WAS ESTABLISHED IN BALTIMORE, MD BY STREET SCOTT AND I BACK IN 2002. HE HAD THE IDEA OF THE GROUP NAME..AND WE JUST PROGRESSED FROM THERE. WE'VE BEEN THROUGH SEVERAL ARTIST OVER THE YEARS. WE KINDA BROKE IT UP INTO GENERATIONS..THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS WHICH IS THE FIRST GENERATION IS STREET SCOTT (ARTIST/PRODUCER), JASE(ARTIST), PENDRAGON(ARTIST/PRODUCER) AND MYSELF (BIG DRO). AFTER ABOUT FOUR YEARS STRONG, WE ADDED MORE ARTIST SUCH AS JAE POET, NOVA STARZ, ASE' & PHARAOH ZE' (RSUNAL), OLLIE V.O.S.O. AND MARK SHOTTA (PRODUCER). ASE' AND PHARAOH ZE' WERE PULLED IN WITH T.A. BUT STILL REPRESENTING THEIR OWN BRAND CALLED R.S.U.N.A.L. (Real Stand Up Niggas At Large). SO YOU HAVE TEAM ARSON, AND RSUNAL..IT ALL MAKES SENSE..LOL, YA DIGG? WITHIN THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS WE'VE ADDED ANOTHER GENERATION TO TEAM ARSON. WE'VE JUST RECENTLY ACCEPTED THREE NEW MEMBERS...DRE STOLAH (PRODUCER/ENGINEER), ROB SEVEN (PRODUECER/ARTIST) AND JEDI JEFF(PRODUCER) AND ACTUALLY IN A FREESTYLE WE DID CALLED "4 ALL" FEAT. CHANNEL Q, ASE', PENDRAGON, OLLIE VOSO AND MYSELF...I SAID "THO MY TEAM DISSIPATED WE ALL STILL PARTICIPATING/ REAL SITUATED STILL THE GREATEST NEVER OUTDATED.." We're all working on different projects so it's easier for us to email our verses. What state / borough do you represent? How did you guys meet ?
Abyss Da Dark & Panama Red is a rapper & producer duo making good music. We mostly do Hip-Hop at the moment. We are both from Brooklyn, New York. We met about 4 years ago, I believe, through a mutual friend. When I first heard his beats. I wasn't insanely impressed but I heard potential. The year after that is when I started to write over his work. I would call him up and rap whatever I wrote. Day after day this would happen until we agreed to make a project together. It all started with "Forever And A Day" back in the summer of 2009.

Who produced & directed THE REUNION ? Did the video capture the image you we trying to give off?
The video was shot & directed by Geoff Dalecez. Honestly he had his own vision for the video and I put my trust into what he saw. I'm very pleased with the way it came out and the concept behind it. I think its a very entertaining video and the reception has been great so far. I'm glad people like it. I actually busted a sweat for it.

Why is this track entitled "the Reunion:? The reunion of &/or from what?
Me and Red released our first project together (Forever And A Day) late 2009. After that me nor him dropped anything for an entire year. It was coming close to the two year mark and we decided to release some music. The Reunion was one of the last records we did for the From My Heart With Love project. One of the first records I recorded that was a beat he made with his MPC. It represented our growth and the union that we created on Forever And A Day. We both sound more polished and experienced. Its one of my favorite records.

With a chorus like this one,... how important was it to come up with these lyrics?
I honestly just wanted to flex my lyrical muscles on that record. The chorus came pretty easy. It just flowed right off my tongue. Similar story with the verses. A tad bit arrogant because of all the new found attention and support. That's truly how that record came about. Me and Red showing out. Letting folks know we were back with another one.

What does "#WEUP mean / stand for? I see you use this term a lot ...not just in this video.
It was inspired by my homie Brookz. He's an artist from Canada but moved out to Brooklyn. We support each other and do records together. At one point in time he was garnering alot of attention from different folks. Some people saw that and started to throw some shade in his direction. I'm not exactly sure how I thought of it but it was my way of telling him to keep on trucking. Regardless of what negativity may be going on around you or what direction life may pull you in its imperative to keep your head above the clouds and continue to dream. It represents never allowing anything to deter you from your goals. After saying it a couple of times via social media it caught fire. People identified with it or just enjoyed saying it. So now its #WeUp! Holler it when you see us.

Who or what are some attributions that you would like to contribute to your music career?
My families love and support has definitely kept me afloat. Garnering new listeners has helped build my confidence. My elder brother constantly inspires me to push for my dream. I truly do this for the both of us. Aside from my artistic abilities I think my humility is what has helped me to connect with people and build relationships with different folks. I come across as normal and they identify with that.

What separates you from other up & coming rap artist?
Honestly I don't know. I'm sure some of my supporters can answer that question. There's alot of dope artist out there, heard and unheard. I'm just trying to display my talents and my sound. Hope I can catch ears along the journey.

How would you describe your "sound" as an artist?
Emotions bottled in a record. I like to wear my heart on my sleeve. Regardless if it sounds cool or not I speak on my life and the lives of those around me. Whether it be my struggles, hopes, aspirations, etc. I try to keep it honest. Experimenting lately with alternative music. I like to try new things musically and push myself to become better. I love music in general.

Are you happy with where Hip-Hop today ? I'm very pleased with Hip Hop music. I think people put too much emphasis on the mainstream and don't focus on the full spectrum. If you go on a website and take a chance with a new artist you might be pleased to hear what you can find. There's plenty of talented artist out there. Just waiting for you to click on there link or attend a show. The only thing I don't like is that there is no balance mainstream wise. Play everything and give the audience a chance to choose what they like. But its up to the artist and the people to change that. We have more power than we realize. But yeah, I'm happy with the way Hip-Hop is moving.

What can we expect from you in the next 3 years (music wise) ?
Hopefully I'll be on tour sharing my music with the world. Working on my EP at the moment. No release date and not focused on one. Just working on making sure people really enjoy this record. After that me and Red are gonna start working on our third project together. More collaborations and videos and all that. GeMi-FlY iS i...& i iS FlY. No..but seriously.. I, GeMi-FlY aslo known as Indra Tahirah Odom, am a fun loving, outspoken, spontaneous, strong-willed, soft-hearted, free spirited, badd ass bitch from the south. If i had to rep a place...i'd have to choose 2. BROWARD COUNTY, FLA. & HINESVILLE, GA.
..The 2 places that raised & molded my morals & a majority of my personality.

* Your a spoken word poet, where did you get this talented gift from & at what age did you discover this gift?

*SMileS*....to be honest...i dont really consider myself a "spoken word poet"...but since thats the only title the world was familiar with & was closest to what i do...it sticks. The funny thing about it is..ive been writing since a very young age, but ive always kept my words to myself. I always felt like the things i had to say were to much for a lot of folks to take in. It wasnt until i was in community college taking a creative writing course & was blessed to have a wonderful white lady by the name of Ms. Joyce as a professor. She was different from any teacher i had ever encountered. She embraced the words i wrote & told me it was ok for me to use curse words to express my anger. Long story short...at the end of the class she put a challenge on the table. Told me since i was late everyday my grade was real low & the only way she could pass me is if could do a hell've extra credit project. I told her i aint know what the hell i could do that would be that "extra" in such a short amount of time. But she did tho'..*lOl*..she said on the last day of class there was some type of student open mic event going on & she had signed me up. I did it..folks loved me...& ive barely shut up since gurl!! *GiGGleS*

* What does "spoken word poet" mean to you? I heard that you don't like to be called that.

*SMiRkS*....GuRl...yu trynna get sum beef shit started between me & these poets!! *lMAo*...naw..im just joking. But yeah...i do say that i dont like to be titled as a "Spoken Word Poet"...i would just much rather be called my name. To me..a "Spoken Word Poet"..is sumbody who lives..breathes this poetry shit. See Me...im just living & breathing. Writing is just something i do to express myself... Its just what i do, not who i am. Im not on a mission to "change the world" or anything..touch a few minds..maybe change a few hearts.. & improve sum self-persona's, but thats about it. I feel like "Spoken Word Artist"..not all, but many..have lost the meaning of sharing words. Its turned into a contest of who can spit the longest shit..with the deepest metaphors..& the biggest words. Rarely do i go to open mic spots & hear a person just get up & spit some simple, non-self absorbed, honest shit that i can just sit back, understand, & enjoy. I dont want to be boxed into that circle of foolish fuckery...no boundaries...thats me.

* Where does your inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from inside Me. When i look back on all the years ive wasted being stressed, depressed, unhappy about life, & my life situations..it inspires me to Speak UP. It motivates me to want to help others get thru their issues, insecurities, & the turmoil they harber inside that holds them down.

*You were born in Texas- as a military baby. Do you feel the constant change in atmosphere has contributed to your inventiveness as a poet?

Honestly...ive never considered that. But i guess i would have to say yes..some what. Because me being born into the military caused me to move around alot....less stability than most..as far as location. & i would have to say if i wasnt moving from here to there all the time...less of my struggles would have been encountered....maybe...but only GoD knows for sure tho. *GiGGleS*

* This is your 5th mix tape " WORDS ARE FREE BITCH" , what gave you the idea to do mix tapes with your poetry? Where did the title come from?

...hahahaha...dis question is like 4 questions in 1.....yu sneak yu...*GiGGleS* well 1st off. I came up w/ the concept of the mixtape from a slick ass comment my girlfriend made after a visit to a local open mic spot. We were approached & asked to buy a cd of poetry from a poet that hadnt even touched the mic. We thought to ourselves.." why da fuck would we pay ova $10 for sum shit we couldnt hear a sample of for free"....*GiGGleS*. Wrong....i know... *GeMi ShRuGs* but its my opinion. ..i had been writing poetry from young as ive said before..so we came up w/ the idea of me recording some poems as spoken word on cd & insteade selling it, give it away for free. We have freedom of speech...they say words are free right?....sooooo "WoRds aRe FRee BitCh"....came about. It wasnt Volume 1 at 1st, because i had no intent on making a 2,3,4,or even 5th Volume. But the universe works in mysterious ways. My 1st mixtape had 1 poem that was writin & revised since middle school, but the rest were written for the mixtape. Vol.2-5 were all written at the time of each individual mixtape making. I try to keep my shit fresh yu kno..*GiGGleS* Most muthafuckers dont know this..but i made all my mixtapes myself. On my laptop, no nigga studio, no nigga hosting my shit, no nigga cutting the tracks i chose to sample..all me. *SMileS*
Now what was the rest of this question?...lemme see..

what topics / subjects do you touch on in this mix tape? "FUCK A WISH" is a deep track that many fatherless children can relate to... how were you able to dig inside yourself write such a profound poem like this one?

..oh..mixtape topics. Well..i never have a topic for my mixtapes...i just write whats in my heart & soul at that time. I know they may flow like i choose topics..but iswear..thats all GoD's doing...*GiGGleS* for "FuCk A WiSh" it wasnt hard at all for me to write..because thats how i feel. Those are my truths..my secrets..my demons. They in my closet (metophorically speaking), so they aint far to reach when im in my room. I never knew my father growing up..i only knew his name & had a pic of him. I searched for decades..found him when i was 25..im 26. He's a drug addict & an alcoholic. It is what it is so my shit aint hard to write. *MoMeNt*

...ok..im back.

*What is the one thing you want your fans/supporters to take away after listening to this mix tape?

What i want my friends & supports to take from my 5th & all my other 4 mixtapes is....YeS...life is hard....but it aint never too hard to try & live life. Dont ever let the thangs folk done to ya Stop yu. Never allow a muthafucker to mind control ur destiny w/ their bullshit. Always love the people who love yu. But most importantly...always, always, always...love urself...Xspecially in the face of adversity. #thatsit.com!!!

NewShoes ADVICE from Gemi-Fly: keep grinding, keep hustlin, keep believin, & keep duin Yu!! *MuAh* *XoX*

GeMi-FlY

<img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px;
